We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Learning Support Officers who are committed to making a genuine difference in the lives of young people. This role is ideal for someone who values relationships, understands the importance of inclusion and the wellbeing of the whole person.
<p>Fixed term until 26 January, 2027.</p>
<p><strong>About the Role</strong></p>
<p>This role will include providing in-class support, assisting with the implementation of personalised learning plans, supporting small group and individual learning, and contributing to a calm and productive learning environment.</p>
<p><strong>Some of the Key Responsibilities of this role will include:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>To provide a commitment to Catholic Education and to the safety, wellbeing and protection of children and young people;</li>
<li>Working with individuals and small groups of students under the direction and supervision of the class teacher or the Learning Diversity Leader</li>
<li>Participate in monitoring and evaluating students with special needs</li>
<li>Assisting students in developing skills required to be a valuable member of the class, school and community</li>
<li>Assisting with communication between parents, teachers and the wider community</li>
</ul>

<p><strong>Key Selection Criteria</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Demonstrated commitment to Catholic Education and to the safety, wellbeing and protection of children;</li>
<li>Prior experience in an education setting working with children or young people with a range of additional emotional, social, academic and physical needs;</li>
<li>A collegial and collaborative approach to engaging with others;</li>
<li>Strong communication skills and an ability to be flexible, adaptive and compassionate; and</li>
<li>High level of competence with information technology.</li>
</ul>
