Together, academic staff and corporate staff provide an outstanding educational environment for students to grow and flourish.</p> <p>About the Role</p> <p>St Peters Lutheran College is seeking a dedicated and experienced Primary Teacher to join our Early Years team.&nbsp;</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li><strong>Teaching &amp; Learning</strong><br> Plan and deliver high‑quality, engaging learning experiences aligned with contemporary pedagogy, the St Peters Teaching &amp; Learning Framework, relevant syllabuses, and evidence‑based practice, including effective assessment and reporting.</li> <li><strong>Pastoral Care &amp; Student Wellbeing</strong><br> Support the pastoral care and wellbeing of students through the College’s established structures, programs, and processes, fostering a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment.</li> <li><strong>Life-wide Learning</strong><br> Contribute to the holistic formation of students by actively supporting and participating in the College’s Lifewide Learning program, including cocurricular and extracurricular opportunities.</li> <li><strong>Positive Relationships &amp; Communication</strong><br> Build and maintain positive, respectful, and collaborative relationships with students, colleagues, parents, and the wider College community, communicating clearly and professionally in a timely manner.</li> <li><strong>Professional Collaboration &amp; Contribution</strong><br> Work collaboratively within teaching teams, College meetings, committees, and professional networks to contribute to excellence in teaching practice and the culture and ethos of the College.</li> <li><strong>Professional Practice &amp; Administration</strong><br> Manage classroom and administrative responsibilities effectively, including the maintenance of accurate records and documentation, to support smooth day‑to‑day operations and student learning.</li> </ul> <p>What You Bring</p> <ul> <li>A relevant tertiary qualification in education, current Queensland Teacher Registration, and proven experience in delivering high-quality primary teaching programs.&nbsp;</li> <li>Comprehensive knowledge of planning, delivering, and assessment of contemporary teaching and learning programs that meet curriculum requirements and foster student engagement and achievement.</li> <li>Experience in a similar role, with demonstrated ability to exemplify care, dignity, and respect, delivered through high personal accountability for professional workplace conduct.&nbsp;</li> <li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.</li> <li>Excellent written and oral communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.</li> <li>Highly developed organisational and time management skills.</li> <li>Commitment to the College’s Christian ethos and values.</li> </ul> <p>How to Apply</p> <p>To apply, please submit your cover letter and curriculum vitae, demonstrating how you meet the requirements of the Position Description by clicking on the Apply button provided.
