<p>We are seeking a passionate and dedicated HSIE Teacher to join our HSIE faculty and contribute to the continued growth of the subject across the College. The successful applicant will be an engaging and enthusiastic educator who fosters academic excellence and models a genuine passion for teaching and learning.</p>
<p>The successful applicant will report directly to the Head of HSIE and work collaboratively with members of the HSIE faculty to support high-quality teaching and learning.</p>
<p><strong>About the Role</strong></p>
<p>The HSIE Teacher will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective lessons while contributing positively to the culture and development of the faculty.</p>
<p>The teaching load will primarily consist of:</p>
<ul>
<li>Stage 4 HSIE</li>
<li>Stage 5 Commerce</li>
<li>Stage 6 Economics and/or Business Studies</li>
</ul>
<p>The successful candidate will:</p>
<ul>
<li>Demonstrate a strong commitment to the Christian ethos and Coptic Orthodox values of the College.</li>
<li>Deliver high-quality teaching and learning programs across Commerce, Business Studies, and/or Economics.</li>
<li>Work collaboratively with the Head of HSIE and faculty members in curriculum planning, assessment, and reporting.</li>
<li>Contribute to the development and implementation of new syllabus programming, ensuring alignment with current NESA requirements.</li>
<li>Design engaging and rigorous learning experiences that promote critical thinking, financial literacy, and economic understanding.</li>
<li>Support faculty initiatives that enhance student engagement and academic outcomes.</li>
<li>Participate actively in faculty meetings, professional learning, and whole-school initiatives.</li>
<li>Build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues, contributing to a supportive and inclusive school environment.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Experience teaching Stage 6 Economics is highly desirable.</strong></p>
<p><strong>Key Selection Criteria</strong></p>
<p>Applicants should address the following criteria in their written response (maximum two pages):</p>

<li>Capacity to uphold and promote the Christian ethos and Coptic Orthodox values of the College in all aspects of school life.</li>
<li>Strong knowledge of Stage 5 Commerce and Stage 6 Economics and/or Business Studies.</li>
<li>Knowledge of current NESA syllabuses and assessment practices, including experience or willingness to contribute to new syllabus programming.</li>
<li>Ability to work collaboratively within a faculty team and contribute positively to faculty initiatives.</li>
<li>Commitment to reflective teaching practice and ongoing professional learning.</li>
<li>Capacity to use data-informed practices to support and enhance student learning outcomes.</li>
<li>Demonstrated ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues, fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>A recognised teaching qualification.</li>
<li>Current NESA accreditation (Provisional, Conditional, or Proficient).</li>
<li>A current NSW Working with Children Check (WWCC).</li>
</ul>
