Grace Lutheran College is well placed to maintain its reputation as a leading school of choice for those seeking a coeducational, Christian secondary education on the northern outskirts of Brisbane. The College Council is seeking to further strengthen the position of the College under the leadership of the new Head of College, to commence from 1 January 2027.

<p>Grace Lutheran College is in its 48th year with milestone 50 years in 2028. It is a leading specialist secondary school on the northside of Brisbane. The original campus was established at Rothwell in 1978; the second campus was established at Caboolture in 2008. Grace Lutheran College is one college across two campuses, united in purpose and community while offering unique opportunities at both Rothwell and Caboolture.&nbsp;</p> <p>Strategic alliances have been developed with multiple local Lutheran primary schools in order to be able to offer a seamless Lutheran education through to Year 12.</p> <p>The College is the majority partner in the Googa Outdoor Education Centre located near Blackbutt.&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>The College Council invites applications for the position of Head of College to commence from 1 January 2027. The College is on a firm footing for the future and is looking forward to retaining its position as a highly respected and successful school within the Lutheran system.</strong></p> <p>The College is currently approximately 3 years into a major 10 year construction master plan, with redevelopment &amp; refurbishment occurring at the Rothwell Campus, and new buildings underway due to student growth at the Caboolture Campus. The current strategic plans also maintain a focus on modern teaching pedagogies, empowering student learning to prepare them for whatever pathway they may take beyond Grace.</p> <p>Since inception, and through the establishment and growth of each campus, the Grace Lutheran College Community has deliberately aimed to be an active Christian Community with a very strong desire to be Christ-centred and very ecumenical within the Moreton Bay City. This faith focus involves a strong commitment to serve the Lutheran Church of Queensland and actively engage other Christian denominations in support of our students, staff and parents.</p> <p>The Grace Educational experience encompasses a holistic educational offering, specifically designed to assist students to identify and or develop their God given gifts and talents and to use them in their service to the College and the wider community. As evidence of this philosophy and commitment, Grace Lutheran College provides the broadest academic and co-curricular offerings in the Moreton Bay City, with the Camping Program and Tours Program being additional. Both in the academic realm and co-curricular, Grace Lutheran College has always embraced innovation, evident in many programs within the College.&nbsp;</p> <p>The Christ-centred protective, warm and supportive environment of the College has evolved into ‘The Grace Way’ which is the ethos of the College. It has grown to envelop the whole Grace community. The College Council is seeking to further strengthen the position of the College under the leadership of the new Head of College.</p> <p>The successful applicant will:</p> <ul> <li>Be an active communicant member of the Lutheran Church of Australia and New Zealand (LCANZ).</li> <li>Be <a href="https://www.lutheran.edu.au/school-professionals-2/accreditation/" rel="nofollow">accredited as a leader in Lutheran Schools</a> or be eligible and willing to work towards accreditation.</li> <li>Have significant and successful experience in teaching and educational administration.</li> <li>Have the capacity for Christian witnessing and servant leadership to further the nurturing of the Christian mission of the school and encourage and develop a caring community.</li> <li>Hold or be eligible for teacher registration in Queensland through the Queensland College of Teachers.</li> </ul>
