<p><strong>Context statement</strong></p>
<p>Yipirinya School is an independent, Indigenous community school in Alice Springs controlled by an Indigenous School Council and catering for Indigenous students from the nearby community and outstations. The school has excellent, purpose-built classrooms, and support facilities for all teachers. All classroom teachers currently have the support of Indigenous assistant teachers. The school offers a two-way learning approach (bi-lingual & bi-cultural) to education and language/culture teachers provide additional specialist support when children engage with language classes each day. Relationships-based learning, and school wide positive behaviour support are significant improvement priorities at the school.</p>
<p><strong>Key duties and responsibilities</strong></p>
<p>Provide learning opportunities for every student commensurate with their needs, abilities and stage of development by teaching a programme that gives each student the opportunity to experience success and which challenges all students to achieve their full potential.</p>
<p>· Design and develop structured course content for students from Transition to Y10.</p>
<p>· Design programs to assist students to navigate and operate a PC.</p>
<p>· Deliver IT training for students across Microsoft 365, suit of programs.</p>
<p>· Deliver classroom-based sessions to students with varied levels of technical ability</p>
<p>· Provide ad hoc specialised training/tutoring when required – either one-on-one or groups</p>
<p>· Identify and action any updates required to our training materials (such as quick guides)</p>
<p>· Actively participate in, and contribute to, the professional development life of the school</p>
<p><strong>Selection criteria</strong></p>
<p><strong>Essential</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Strong IT training experience gained within a learning environment</li>
<li>Training experience across Microsoft 365 including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Teams</li>
<li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to explain technical concepts clearly and adapt styling to different technical levels</li>
<li>Tertiary qualifications in IT, Training or equivalent</li>
<li>High level inter-cultural understanding and sensitivity, with a demonstrated capacity to work effectively in a two-ways, bilingual and bicultural work and education environment.</li>
<li>Sound organisational skills, with an ability to prioritise tasks, meet prescribed deadlines, and concurrently manage a number of competing tasks.</li>
<li>A strong understanding of contemporary education research and trends as they relate to student learning and pastoral care. </li>
<li>An awareness of Trauma informed practices and the ability to provide pastoral support and counsel a home-room group. </li>

<p>A demonstrated ability to work in a team environment and build a cohesive, effective team. </p>
