The International French School of Sydney is currently looking for an experienced Mathematics Teacher to join the team on a permanent basis.

Our mission is to give students a world-class education in an international environment that allows them to graduate as French-English bilingual citizens of the world.<br><br> About the role:<br><br><strong>This is an Ongoing Full-time position starting on August 1st 2026.</strong><br><br><strong>As a Mathematics Teacher, your repsonsiblities include, but are not limited to:</strong><br> &nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>Teach the French Mathematics curriculum in French to Secondary school students (Years 6 to 12). Potentially some Chemistry teaching as well, delivered in in English</li> <li>Prepare students for examinations</li> <li>Teach within the framework of the fundamental principles of the French and Australian educational systems with high standards expected</li> <li>An ability to teach across different subject areas would be an advantage</li> </ul> <p>What we offer:</p> <ul> <li>Parking and canteen available on site</li> <li>Discount on tuition fees if your child is enrolled at the Lycée&nbsp;</li> <li>Access to a wide range of local and international vocational training opportunities</li> <li> <p>Remuneration as per the Independent Schools NSW/ACT industrial agreement (Annual full time base between a minimum of $94 155 AUD and a maximum of $133 009 AUD, depending on qualifications and experience)</p> <p>About the ideal candidate:</p></li> <li>Bachelor's degree + Master's degree in education + competitive examination (CAPES/Agrégation), subject to assessment by Australian agencies</li> <li>Minimum of 4 years' full-time experience</li> <li>Previous experience in the French Education system, with excellent command of the French national curriculum</li> <li>Previous experience in collège and lycée</li> <li>Native speaker French plus English language proficiency equivalent to IELTS overall band score of at least 5.0, with no component below 4.5</li> <li>Knowledge of the AEFE network and the French education system abroad</li> <li>Ability to teach Mathematics in French &amp; Sciences (especially Chemistry) in English is highly regarded</li> <li>Relational and reflective classroom teacher and collaborative community member focused on improving educational outcomes&nbsp;</li> <li>Demonstrated ability to engage with students using inclusive and innovative pedagogical practices</li> </ul>
