<p><strong>About the Role</strong></p>

<p>We are seeking a passionate and engaging <strong>Chinese Teacher </strong>to join our English and Languages Faculty at Sheldon College.</p>
<p>This role involves delivering high-quality teaching and learning programs to students in Years 5 to 9, fostering strong student engagement and academic achievement. You will work within a collaborative and supportive team of educators, contributing to a dynamic learning environment that encourages curiosity, creativity and student growth.</p>
<p>The successful applicant will plan, prepare and deliver differentiated learning experiences aligned with ACARA and QCAA requirements, while incorporating innovative teaching practices and digital tools to support student learning. The role also includes assessing and monitoring student progress, providing meaningful feedback and supporting student wellbeing within a safe and inclusive classroom environment.</p>
<p>This is a <strong>part-time position</strong>, rostered Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, <strong>or full-time </strong>by negotiation.</p>
<p>Please note: this is not a full Chinese teaching load. The successful applicant must be able to teach an additional secondary subject area.</p>

<p><strong>About you</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Relevant tertiary teaching qualifications in Chinese (Mandarin) and/or Education</li>
<li>Current Queensland College of Teachers (QCT) registration</li>
<li>Demonstrated ability to plan and deliver engaging and effective teaching and learning programs</li>
<li>Strong understanding of ACARA and QCAA curriculum requirements</li>
<li>Ability to teach an additional secondary subject area</li>
<li>Ability to differentiate learning to meet diverse student needs</li>
<li>Experience incorporating innovative teaching practices and digital tools</li>
<li>Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents and colleagues</li>
