<p>St Paul’s International College was founded in 1986 by the Sisters of St Paul de Chartres. Founded in France in the late 17th century, the order has a long history of promoting academic excellence.</p> <p>The College crest bears the Latin motto Omnibus Omnia, meaning ‘All to All’. In an increasingly globalised world, St. Paul’s provides quality education for young people from a broad range of backgrounds to learn from and to respect each other’s differences and to grow in an appreciation of their shared humanity.<br> &nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Currently Seeking&nbsp;&nbsp; -&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; ELICOS / ESL Teacher</strong></p> <p><br> The College is looking for an experienced and passionate ESL teacher that is excited to join a school where ESL is central to everything we do. 70% of our students come from non-English speaking backgrounds. As such, ESL is a cross-curriculum priority and our ESL teachers provide vital contributions to our faculty collaboration and planning.</p> <p>The position is a full-time ongoing role for Term 3 onwards, with a starting date of July 20th 2026.</p> <p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p> <p>·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Develop and deliver teaching programs across at least one of Stage 4&amp;5 ESL, Stage 6 EALD, and ELICOS</p> <p>·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Report directly to the Head of Teaching &amp; Learning.</p> <p>·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Work collaboratively with the Head of Teaching &amp; Learning to correctly place incoming students.</p> <p>·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Work within and foster the College’s collaborative structure and sense of teamwork.</p> <p>·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Respect and support the Sisters of St Paul in their mission to educate our students.</p> <p><strong>Selection Criteria</strong></p> <p>·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Relevant qualifications and NSW Working with Children Check.</p> <p>·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; TESOL certification or equivalent qualification in teaching English as a Second Language.</p> <p>·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Experience teaching ESL students in a secondary school setting.</p> <p>·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Strong knowledge of second language acquisition and the ESL scales</p> <p>·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills.</p> <p>·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; A demonstrated commitment to both teaching and student learning.</p> <p>·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; An ability to earn trust and foster an environment of collaboration and achievement.</p> <p>The College is an Independent Catholic school and employs staff under the NSW Catholic Independent Schools (Teachers Model C) Multi-Enterprise Agreement.
