St Brigid's Catholic College, Lake Munmorah is currently seeking a skilled College Grounds, Gardening and Maintenance Officer on a permanent full-time capacity.

Our EA is also underpinned by a guarantee our rates will be at least 1.5% above the NSW Department of Education into the future&nbsp;</li> <li><strong>Staff voice:</strong> Our Enterprise Agreement reflects our deep commitment to having systems in place which give our frontline staff a genuine voice in their work&nbsp;</li> <li><strong>Staff School Fee Discounts: </strong>Eligible staff receive a 25% discount on their children’s school fees at our schools, pro-rated to their FTE&nbsp;</li> <li><strong>Wellbeing Support:</strong>&nbsp;we provide a robust wellbeing program to ensure our staff thrive and grow.&nbsp; This includes membership to Fitness Passport for eligible employees.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Specific Criteria</strong>&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>Manage building, grounds and site security operations.</li> <li>Plan and deliver preventative and reactive maintenance within budget.</li> <li>Perform minor repairs, renovations and general handyman tasks.</li> <li>Maintain gardens, landscaped areas and sports grounds.</li> <li>Unlock/secure facilities and respond to urgent issues, including after hours.</li> <li>Support event set‑ups and College functions.</li> <li>Ensure WHS compliance, conduct safety inspections and manage hazards.</li> <li>Maintain SWMS, compliance records and safe storage of tools/chemicals.</li> <li>Clean, maintain and safely operate equipment.</li> <li>Uphold student safeguarding and duty of care requirements.</li> <li>Always use appropriate PPE.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Essential Experience &amp; Requirements</strong></p> <ul> <li>Experience in grounds or facilities maintenance.</li> <li>Skills in minor building repairs and safe equipment operation.</li> <li>Ability to identify hazards and follow safe work practices.</li> <li>Strong task‑prioritisation and ability to work independently.</li> <li>Working With Children Check.</li> <li>Knowledge of WHS obligations.</li> <li>Light Rigid (LR) licence.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Desirable</strong></p> <ul> <li>Experience in a school environment.</li> <li>Contractor coordination experience.</li> <li>Experience with compliance registers and maintenance schedules.</li> <li>Event support experience.</li> <li>Trade qualification, White Card, First Aid/CPR, chemical handling certification.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>About Us</strong>&nbsp;<br> &nbsp;<br> We are Catholic Schools Broken Bay, a vibrant and enriching learning environment that spans the Central Coast, Sydney's Northern&nbsp;Beaches&nbsp;and the North Shore.
