We are seeking a passionate Middle School educator to teach Humanities and Christian Studies as core subjects, with the the ability to teach other subjects (e.g. Mathematics, Science) desirable.

The successful educator will create engaging learning experiences, foster meaningful relationships, and contribute actively to our Middle School culture.</p> <p><strong>Position Overview:</strong></p> <ul> <li><strong>Position: </strong>Middle School Teacher - Humanities &amp; Christian Studies</li> <li><strong>Workload: </strong>Full-time</li> <li><strong>Employment Basis: </strong>Permanent</li> <li><strong>Start Date:</strong> 20 April 2026</li> </ul> <p><strong>The Role</strong></p> <p>We are seeking a passionate Middle School educator to teach <strong>Humanities and Christian Studies</strong> as core subjects, with the the ability to teach other subjects (e.g.&nbsp;Mathematics, Science)&nbsp;desirable. The successful educator will create engaging learning experiences, foster meaningful relationships, and contribute actively to our Middle School culture.</p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li>Teach Humanities and Christian Studies to Middle School students.</li> <li>Create engaging learning experiences that cater to diverse student needs.</li> <li>Engage with students, staff, and parents to foster strong relationships.</li> <li>Assess and report on student progress, providing constructive feedback.</li> <li>Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.</li> <li>Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching practices and student outcomes.</li> <li>Integrate technology effectively into teaching and learning.</li> <li>Participate in co-curricular programs and College events as required.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Selection Criteria</strong></p> <ul> <li>Commitment to the Christian ethos and values of the College, supporting its mission and community life.</li> <li>Demonstrated experience teaching Humanities and Christian Studies.</li> <li>Suitable for graduate or new teachers with willingness to develop expertise in teaching Humanities and Christian Studies.</li> <li>Ability to build strong rapport with Middle School learners.</li> <li>Strong classroom management, communication, and organisational skills.</li> <li>Strong knowledge of curriculum and assessment requirements.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Desirable</strong></p> <ul> <li>Ability to teach Mathematics and/or Science at a Middle School level.</li> <li>Experience using innovative pedagogies and contemporary digital tools.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Eligibility Requirements</strong></p> <p>Applicants must be eligible to apply for Queensland College of Teachers registration or hold current registration status.</p>
