<p><strong>About the Role</strong></p> <p>Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic College (OLSH) is a three-campus school in Alice Springs, serving students from Transition to Year 12. We are currently seeking a <strong>Gardening &amp; Maintenance Officer</strong> to work primarily at our <strong>Sadadeen Campus (Year 9-12)</strong>.</p> <p>This hands-on role is essential in maintaining a safe, clean and welcoming environment for students and staff. We operate across <strong>three campuses in Alice Springs</strong>:</p> <ul> <li><strong>Bath Street</strong> – Transition to Year 4</li> <li><strong>Traeger Campus</strong> – Years 5 to 8</li> <li><strong>Sadadeen Campus</strong> – Years 9 to 12</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li>General gardening: weeding, pruning, rubbish removal from garden beds</li> <li>Mow lawns, clean gutters and drains</li> <li>Maintain pot plants and check/repair irrigation</li> <li>Minor maintenance and painting</li> <li>Clean and replace bin liners</li> <li>Keep verandahs, stairs and paths clear of debris</li> <li>Clean air conditioning filters and remove mould</li> <li>Check and repair basic plumbing (toilets, taps)</li> <li>Liaise with external contractors and promote safe work practices</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Essential Criteria</strong></p> <ul> <li><strong>Self-motivated</strong> and able to work <strong>independently</strong></li> <li><strong>Positive attitude</strong> and a good role model for students</li> <li>Current <strong>Driver’s Licence</strong> (LR licence or willingness to obtain)</li> <li>Current <strong>Working with Children Clearance (Ochre Card)</strong></li> </ul>
