We learn, live and lead on the lands of the Nyangbul people of the Bundjalung nation in this place known as Bullinah.</strong></p> <p>We seek to grow each student to become a person of character who is inspired by excellence and adaptability, whose life is modelled on that of Jesus, and who, through courage, creativity, compassion and citizenship, strives to create a better world.</p> <p><strong>ABOUT THE ROLE</strong></p> <p>The role of College Technology Assistant works with both the Technological and Applied Studies (TAS) Curriculum and IT Services teams. This role is responsible for assisting in the delivery of an effective and innovative technology curriculum while supporting and maintaining the College's IT infrastructure.</p> <p>The successful applicant will work with the IT Manager and IT Technician to resolve hardware and software issues. Additionally you will support teaching staff and students (K-12) to confidently embrace and implement new technologies, programs and practices.</p> <p>This is a permanent fulltime position working Monday to Friday.</p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p> <p>The following responsibilities are not exhaustive but are indicative of the scope and nature of the role.</p> <ul> <li>Support teaching staff and students in the Technology Curriculum K-12 by providing hands on expertise with advanced STEM tools, from 3D printing and woodworking to AI and robotics, while proactively coaching the College community on the technical skills required for real world learning.</li> <li>Organise and maintain TAS equipment and spaces including managing the full lifecycle of resources and facilities; coordinating WHS compliant maintenance and equipment servicing; streamlining storage systems and procurement; ensuring a safe, high functioning environment for all STEM projects.</li> <li>Support the IT team by resolving helpdesk tickets and maintaining IT infrastructure. Provide timely, professional troubleshooting for a diverse range of hardware and network issues while empowering the College community through clear user documentation and hands-on technical guidance.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Knowledge, Skills and Qualifications</strong></p> <ul> <li>Vocational qualifications in IT or relevant qualifications or experience suitable fo the role.</li> <li>Education sector experience preferred but not essential.</li> <li>Technologically literate and have a proven ability to communciate effectively to various demographics and levels of technological understanding.</li> <li>Well organised and able to work collaboratively in a team as well as follow direct instruction.</li> <li>Willing and able to be involved in co-curricular activities.</li> <li>Experience with a variety of end user devices and operating systems.</li> <li>Experience with equipment such as VR, robotics, laser cutters, 3D printing and other STEM tools.</li> <li>Experience with the Google suite.</li> </ul> <p>We are looking for someone who has:</p> <ul> <li>A willingness to support the Anglican ethos of the College and the goals of the Towards 2030 Strategic Plan.</li> <li>Problem solving skills.</li> <li>Commitment to principles of work health and safety.</li> <li>Ability to collaborate and work as a team member.</li> </ul> <p><i>A current Working with Children Check is a requirement of the role.</i></p> <p>A full position description is available on the College website: www.eac.nsw.edu.au</p> <p><strong>HOW TO APPLY</strong></p> <p>Please provide a cover letter outlining your experience and suitability for the role addressing key responsibilities, knowledge and qualities outlined in the position description.
