St Peter’s Anglican College, located in the stunning beachside village of Broulee on the NSW South Coast, is seeking an enthusiastic full time permanent Groundsman/Greenkeeper.

<p><strong>About the Role</strong></p> <p>We are seeking a skilled and motivated Groundsman to maintain and enhance the presentation, safety and performance of our College grounds and sporting facilities. The successful candidate will contribute to the high standards expected within an independent school environment and be an enthusiastic member of the Property Services Team.</p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p> <p><strong>Grounds &amp; Turf Management</strong></p> <ul> <li>Maintain all turf areas including ovals, playing fields, lawns and landscaped spaces.</li> <li>Prepare and maintain sports grounds for school and representative fixtures.</li> <li>Implement turf management programs including fertilising, irrigation, aeration, topdressing and pest/disease control.</li> <li>Manage and maintain irrigation equipment and systems.</li> <li>Construction and installation of new garden beds, lawns and playground infrastructure.</li> <li>Ensure grounds are safe, compliant, and well-presented at all times.</li> <li>Assist with event set-up and pack-down as required.</li> <li>Maintain storage areas and workshop in a safe and orderly condition.</li> <li>Comply with WHS requirements and safe chemical handling practices.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Plant &amp; Equipment</strong></p> <ul> <li>Operate plant and equipment such as mowers, aerators, sprayers, tractors and attachments safely.</li> <li>Ensure all plant and equipment is maintained in good working order.</li> <li>Transport equipment and/or students and staff in College vehicles, including buses, as required.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Team &amp; Operational Support</strong></p> <ul> <li>Provide assistance to other areas of the Property Services Team operations as required.</li> <li>Use initiative and problem-solving skills to adapt to various situations quickly and responsibly.</li> <li>Promote team harmony and report any issues promptly to the Property Services Manager.</li> <li>Participate in team meetings, staff meetings and College events as requested.</li> <li>Maintain a friendly and professional manner with staff, students, parents and visitors.</li> <li>Undertake relevant professional development and industry training.</li> <li>Occasional after-hours work including assisting with events or emergency call outs.</li> <li>Any other task as directed by the Facilities Manager, the Head of Finance, or the Principal.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Selection Criteria</strong></p> <p><strong>Essential:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Demonstrated experience in turf and grounds maintenance.</li> <li>Experience managing irrigation systems.</li> <li>Experience operating plant and grounds maintenance equipment.</li> <li>Knowledge of WHS practices and safe chemical handling.</li> <li>Current NSW Driver’s Licence (MR or higher desirable for bus driving).</li> <li>Chemical application accreditation (AQF3 or equivalent).</li> <li>Current Working With Children Check (NSW).</li> </ul> <p><strong>Desirable:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Certificate III (or higher) in Sports Turf Management / Greenkeeping.</li> <li>Previous experience working at a sporting club or golf club.</li> <li>Experience with high-performance sports fields.</li> <li>First Aid Certificate.</li> <li>Chainsaw certification.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Personal Attributes</strong></p> <ul> <li>Strong attention to detail and pride in presentation.</li> <li>Ability to work independently and collaboratively.</li> <li>Reliable, punctual, and proactive.</li> <li>Strong communication skills.</li> <li>Positive and enthusiastic approach to teamwork.</li> <li>Commitment to child safety and the values of an independent school.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Working Conditions</strong></p> <ul> <li>Outdoor role in varying weather conditions.</li> <li>Early starts and occasional weekend work during peak sporting seasons.</li> <li>Physical role requiring manual handling.</li> </ul> <p><strong>How to Apply</strong></p> <p>Applications should be submitted via email to:</p> <p>📧 <strong><a href="mailto:principal@stpetersbroulee.nsw.edu.au?subject=Groundsman%2FGreenkeeper%20position%20%28via%20Teachers%20On%20Net%29">principal@stpetersbroulee.nsw.edu.au</a></strong></p> <p>Please include:</p> <ul> <li>A <strong>cover letter</strong> addressing the role</li> <li>A <strong>current résumé</strong>, including the names and contact details of <strong>three confidential referees</strong></li> </ul> <p><strong>Applications close:&nbsp;</strong>&nbsp;4 March 2026</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>
