Cedar College is seeking a passionate and dedicated teacher with expertise in Food and Hospitality and Child Studies to join our teaching team for a full-time 12 Month Leave Replacement Contract, commencing in Term 2, 2026. This role involves delivering engaging Food & Hospitality lessons to students in Years 7–10 and SACE Stage 1 and 2 Child Studies, contributing to their holistic growth.

This role involves delivering engaging Food &amp; Hospitality lessons to students in Years 7–10 and SACE Stage 1 and 2 Child Studies, contributing to their holistic growth.</p> <p>The successful candidate will:</p> <ul> <li>Have the ability and qualifications to teach <strong>Food and Hospitality</strong> to students in Years 7–10, and Child Studies in Year 11-12</li> <li>Consider the ability to teach <strong>Christian Living</strong> an advantage</li> </ul> <p>Applicants are expected to teach according to the Australian Curriculum and the SACE and demonstrate how a Christian worldview informs their practice, aligning with the values and ethos of Cedar College.</p> <p><strong>KEY RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p> <ul> <li>Plan, deliver, and assess lessons <strong>in the subjects stated</strong>, for students in Years 7–12, ensuring alignment with the Australian Curriculum and the SACE.</li> <li>Foster a positive, supportive classroom environment that promotes academic achievement and personal growth.</li> <li>Incorporate a Christian worldview into teaching practice, connecting faith with learning in meaningful ways.</li> <li>Participate actively in Homegroup/Community sessions as required, building strong connections with students and supporting their wellbeing.</li> <li>Work collaboratively with colleagues and College leadership to maintain high standards of education and pastoral care.</li> <li>Attend school events, meetings, and professional development opportunities, contributing to the College’s unified culture.</li> </ul> <p><strong>KEY REQUIREMENTS</strong></p> <ul> <li>Relevant tertiary qualifications.</li> <li>Current Teacher Registration (South Australia).</li> <li>Current Working with Children Check (WWCC).</li> <li>Current RRHAN-EC certificate (Responding to the Risk of Harm, Abuse, and Neglect – Education and Care Training).</li> <li>Protective Practices training (can be completed prior to commencement).</li> </ul> <p>Applications close at <strong>9:00 am, Tuesday 10th March 2026</strong></p> <p><i>Please be advised that this position may be withdrawn at any time without notice.</i></p> <p><a href="https://www.cedarcollege.sa.edu.au/" rel="nofollow"><strong>Find out more about Cedar College here</strong></a></p> <p><a href="https://www.cedarcollege.sa.edu.au/" rel="nofollow">Cedar College | Christian School | Adelaide</a></p>
