<p><strong>About the Role:</strong></p>
<p>The successful applicant will work collaboratively with the specialist team to deliver a high-quality, differentiated teaching and learning program that places each student at the centre of all they do.</p>
<p><i><strong>STEM Specialist:</strong></i></p>
<p>STEM (Science, Technologies, Engineering and Mathematics) education comprises the specific knowledge, understandings and skills in each of these learning areas as well as the interrelationship between each of them. STEM education acknowledges that there are opportunities for learning to be delivered in an cross-curricular manner that facilitates greater engagement in each of these learning areas. This approach enables skills such as critical and creative thinking, collaboration and communication to be deployed in a rich and authentic way.</p>
<p>STEM education in the Victorian Curriculum includes the following learning areas: Science, Design and Technologies (including Engineering principles and systems), Digital Technologies and Mathematics.</p>
<p><i><strong>Visual Arts Specialist:</strong></i></p>
<p>Visual Arts education is structured around four interrelated strands that work together to support students’ artistic growth and creative expression. Exploring involves investigating ideas, themes, artists, and artworks from diverse cultures and contexts, encouraging curiosity and inspiration. Developing Practices focuses on building technical skills and understanding of materials, techniques, processes, and safe studio practices. Through Creating, students apply their knowledge and skills to produce original artworks that communicate ideas, emotions, and meaning. Finally, Presenting enables students to display, reflect on, and discuss their work and the work of others, fostering appreciation, critical thinking, and confidence as artists. Together, these strands provide a comprehensive framework for developing creative, reflective, and skilled young learners in Visual Arts.</p>
<p><i><strong>Digital Technologies Specialist:</strong></i></p>
<p>Digital Technologies education is structured around three related strands that build students’ knowledge, skills, and confidence as capable and responsible users and creators of technology. Digital Systems and Security focuses on understanding how digital devices, networks, and systems function, and how to use them safely, ethically, and securely. Data, Information and Privacy develops students’ ability to collect, interpret, manage, and protect data, while recognising the importance of privacy and responsible information use. Creating Digital Solutions empowers students to apply computational, design, and systems thinking to plan, develop, test, and refine digital products and processes.</p>
<p>The Digital Technologies curriculum is designed to provide practical and authentic opportunities for students to explore the capacity of information systems to systematically and innovatively transform data into meaningful digital solutions. Through this learning, students become critical thinkers, creative problem-solvers, and informed digital citizens equipped for a rapidly evolving technological world.</p>
<p><strong>The Successful Applicant Will:</strong></p>

<li>Hold VIT registration (or be eligible)</li>
<li>Demonstrate experience or understanding of Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL)</li>

<li>Work in partnership with families and the wider school community</li>
