<p><strong>Study Supervisor – Senior School Kircher Library</strong></p>

<p>St Aloysius’ College is seeking an enthusiastic, professional, and reliable Study Supervisor to commence in Term I 2026. This newly created role within the College’s Senior School <i>Kircher Library</i> presents an excellent opportunity for an individual with highly developed interpersonal, organisational, and administrative skills who is seeking a rewarding role supporting student learning and wellbeing.</p>

<p>The Study Supervisor will be responsible for creating, maintaining, and promoting a safe, respectful, and productive study environment that supports students across Years 7–12 to engage effectively in independent and collaborative study.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>The successful candidate will ideally demonstrate previous experience supervising students in an educational setting and the ability to work collaboratively with academic leadership, teaching staff, and key stakeholders to support students’ learning needs. They will bring a genuine enthusiasm for education and a strong commitment to student development and wellbeing, fostering students’ confidence, independence, and positive study habits.</p>

<p>Reporting to the Dean of Academic Services, this role is available on a part‑time or full‑time basis. Candidates must be able to work on a rotational roster during the Library’s opening hours.</p>

<p>To be considered for this position, the successful candidate will need to demonstrate:</p>
<p> </p>
<ul>
<li>Commitment to the mission of Catholic education of boys in the Jesuit tradition;</li>
<li>Possess highly developed interpersonal skills demonstrating an ability to effectively communicate with key stakeholders (parents, students, staff);</li>
<li>Demonstrated experience in student supervision within an educational setting, particularly supporting secondary students in structured study environments;</li>
<li>Proven ability to create, maintain, and promote a safe, respectful, and productive study environment that supports individual and collaborative learning practices;</li>
<li>Experience supervising and monitoring student attendance, engagement, and behaviour, with the ability to apply school and library policies consistently and positively;</li>
<li>Strong understanding of the academic, social, and wellbeing needs of adolescents, particularly students in Years 7–12;</li>
<li>Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team of supervisors, and to liaise effectively with teaching staff, library staff, and pastoral care teams to support student learning and wellbeing;</li>
<li>Demonstrated initiative and flexibility, including availability to work rostered extended library hours and non-term supervision periods as required;</li>
<li>Competency in the use of ICT and library management or learning systems relevant to supporting student study and library operations;</li>
<li>Willingness to undertake further study in areas such as library management and or learning systems;</li>
<li>Strong organisational and administrative skills;</li>
<li>High level of written and verbal communication skills;</li>
<li>Possess a valid Working with Children Check.</li>
