<p><a href="https://crookedscience.com/" rel="nofollow">CrookED Science</a> runs high quality professional learning in all of the Stage 6 sciences, delivered by subject experts from across NSW.</p> <p>We are seeking another Biology expert to design and deliver engaging and insightful professional learning workshops and online courses from Term 2 2026.</p> <p><strong>Essential Criteria:</strong></p> <ol> <li>Strong empathy, interpersonal and communication skills</li> <li>Extensive knowledge of Biology</li> <li>Demonstrated ability and experience teaching Biology to a range of student abilities</li> <li>Familiarity with the new Stage 6 Biology syllabus</li> <li>Experience as a HSC Biology marker</li> <li>Ability to plan, prepare and deliver high quality PL workshops to meet the diverse characteristics and needs of teachers; consistent with requisite standards from the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers</li> <li>Ability to make online learning resources including videos e.g. using PowerPoint</li> <li>Strong organisational, administrative and online skills e.g. using Zoom and Google Drive</li> <li>Available at least 1 day per term (dates negotiable)</li> <li>Prepared to develop resources in your own time, at your own pace, while keeping to deadlines</li> <li>Prepared to travel to Sydney (no more than once per term)</li> <li>Hold an ABN and public liability insurance, or prepared to obtain them</li> </ol> <p><strong>Highly Desired Criteria:</strong></p> <ol> <li>Experience of facilitating PL workshops e.g. in your school, local cluster or conferences</li> <li>Participated in the consultations for the new Stage 6 Biology syllabus</li> <li>Previous experience as a Senior Marker, Judge or on the Exam Committee</li> <li>Presence or a preparedness to engage on social media</li> </ol> <p>In your application, please include a covering letter and your CV.</p>
