We are seeking a suitably experienced Technology Assistant to join our College Technology Department on a fixed-term basis for Semester 1.
<p>We are seeking a suitably experienced Technology Assistant to join our College Technology Department on a fixed-term basis for Semester 1.<br><br>
This position provides hands-on technical support to Technology teachers and contributes to a safe, well-organised and engaging practical learning environment across wood, metal, plastics, systems, horticulture and textiles. <br><br>
The position is Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 3:15 pm, totalling 28.75 hours per week (0.76 FTE).</p>
<p><strong>Key responsibilities include:</strong><br>
</p>
<ul>
<li>Supporting staff and students in practical Technology classes to ensure safe learning environments</li>
<li>Preparing materials through pre-planning, cutting and use of industrial tools and machinery</li>
<li>Assisting with the safe operation and basic maintenance of the laser cutter</li>
<li>Maintaining machines, tools and equipment, including daily servicing and ensuring clean work environments</li>
<li>Contributing to safe work practices, OH&S compliance and risk assessment documentation</li>
<li>Ordering and sourcing materials, equipment and tools in consultation with the Director of Learning and Growth</li>
<li>Assisting with deliveries and maintaining the Horticulture Centre</li>
<li>Ensuring budgets are adhered to and resources are used efficiently</li>
<li>Any additional duties as directed by the College Principal, Executive Team or Director of Learning and Growth<br>

</ul>
