Seymour College is seeking a Middle Years Science and Mathematics Teacher to join our team for Term 1, 2026 in a 0.48 FTE capacity.
<p><strong>About the role:</strong></p>
<p>Seymour College is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Middle Years Science and Mathematics Teacher to join our team for Term 1, 2026 in a 0.48 FTE capacity.</p>
<p>The successful applicant will be an engaging educator who is passionate about working with Middle Years students and fostering curiosity, critical thinking and confidence in Science and Mathematics. They will be committed to creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment, using a range of contemporary, evidence-based teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of learners.</p>
<p><strong>Key responsibilities include:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Plan and deliver high-quality Science and Mathematics programs in the Middle Years aligned with the Australian Curriculum and the College’s Learning Framework.</li>
<li>Foster a positive, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment that supports the holistic development of each student.</li>
<li>Implement varied assessment strategies to support student growth and learning outcomes.</li>
<li>Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to interdisciplinary and co-curricular opportunities.</li>
<li>Build strong relationships with students, families, and staff to support each student’s journey.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>About you:</strong></p>
<p>As the successful candidate, you will hold:</p>
<ul>
<li>A current South Australian Teacher Registration.</li>
<li>Demonstrated experience teaching Science and/or Mathematics in the Middle Years.</li>
<li>The ability to build strong, respectful relationships with students, parents, and staff.</li>
<li>A commitment to the College’s values and the wellbeing of every child.</li>
<li>Current WWCC, RRHAN-EC certification, and First Aid in an education setting.</li>
</ul>
