<p><strong>The Opportunity</strong></p> <p>St Patrick’s College is seeking to employ a capable, energetic, and motivated individual, who likes working outdoors to commence as a full time Grounds &amp; Utility Officer (Level 1). This is a great opportunity for someone starting their career or looking to enter the facilities or groundskeeping field. The Grounds &amp; Utility team provide critical operational support to ensure that the school’s grounds, buildings, plant, and equipment are well maintained, well presented, physically secure, compliant with all appropriate regulations and provide a safe environment for the school community. The successful candidate will be a team player, have a strong work ethic and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities.</p> <p>Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience and in accordance with the Tasmanian Catholic Education Single Enterprise Agreement 2024.</p> <p><strong>About You</strong></p> <p>As a Grounds &amp; Utility Officer Level 1, you will have:</p> <ul> <li>A strong work ethic, eye for detail and a sense of pride in efficiently completing work to a high standard whilst maintaining the highest level of safety</li> <li>The ability to work collegially in a team environment, as well as the ability to work independently and to follow instructions and take direction</li> <li>Ability to effectively interact and maintain professional relationships with students, parents, colleagues, and the broader College community.</li> <li>Reliable, punctual, and proactive in identifying and completing tasks</li> <li>Willingness to work outdoors and take on physically active tasks</li> <li>Motivation, enthusiasm and a great attitude</li> <li>Perform effectively in environments with competing demands, with the ability to coordinate routine activities, set priorities and deliver tasks on time.</li> <li>An understanding of and ability to contribute to the mission of St Patrick’s College as a Catholic school.</li> </ul> <p>CET supports the rights of children and young people and is committed to providing a safe and supportive environment directed at ensuring their safety and wellbeing.&nbsp; The successful candidate will require satisfactory registrations relevant to child safety.&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>About Us</strong></p> <p>St Patrick’s is a Catholic co-educational Year 7-12 college of approximately 1,500 students with a strong academic culture that encourages individual students to develop to their full potential through a broad educational experience.&nbsp; The College is structured&nbsp;into a three school model of learning,&nbsp;incorporating the Middle School (Years 7 and 8), Croagh Patrick (Year 9) and Senior School (Years 10-12).
