<p><strong>Music Strings Tutor (Conductor and Tutor)</strong><br><strong>Part-Time (0.6 FTE) | Commencing Term I 2026</strong><br><strong>St Aloysius’ College</strong></p>
<p>St Aloysius’ College invites applications for an experienced and passionate <strong>Music Strings Tutor</strong> to join our vibrant and highly regarded Music Department in an ongoing, part-time capacity. This position plays a pivotal role in delivering excellence within the College’s Music Program and fostering a culture of creativity and achievement.</p>
<p>As a key member of the team, you will lead the strategic planning, preparation, and delivery of the Strings Program, ensuring musical excellence and strong student engagement across both individual tuition and ensemble performance. The successful candidate will inspire students through exceptional teaching practice, cultivate an inclusive and collaborative ensemble environment, and actively contribute to the pastoral care and wellbeing of students. Engagement in the broader life of the College, including participation in musical co-curricular activities and performances throughout the year, is an essential aspect of this role.</p>
<p>Reporting to the Director of Music, and working in close collaboration with the Head of Music (Performance) and Head of Strings, the successful applicant will contribute to the delivery and ongoing development of the College’s comprehensive Strings Program across Years 3–12.</p>

<p><strong>About You</strong></p>
<p>To be considered for this position, the successful candidate will need to demonstrate:</p>
<ul>
<li>Commitment to the mission of Catholic education of boys in the Jesuit tradition;</li>
<li>Appropriate qualifications, specifically Tertiary qualifications in Music Performance and/or Music Education;</li>
<li>Eligibility to teach under the requirements of NSW legislation and College policy is desirable though not essential;</li>
<li>Demonstrated experience in a music teaching/tutor role;</li>
<li>Demonstrated experience and success in building string programs and conducting ensembles across all age groups;</li>
<li>Demonstrated superior instrumental ability on an orchestral string instrument;</li>
<li>Ability to conduct and support ensembles as determined by the Head of Music (Performance) and/or Head of Strings, including arranging sheet music as required;</li>
<li>Ability to create a positive, supportive and engaging ensemble climate that meets the creative, social and emotional needs of all students; </li>
<li>Commitment to participation in the pastoral and co-curricular programs of the College;</li>
<li>Ability to work within a collaborative College Music Team.</li>
