Wenona is seeking Casual Boarding Assistants to support boarder wellbeing and routines through supervision, care and positive role modelling.
<p>Wenona is seeking Casual Boarding Assistants to provide high-quality pastoral care and operational support within the Boarding program. This role supports the daily routines and wellbeing of boarders through consistent supervision, positive role modelling and clear communication, while contributing to a safe, nurturing and well-structured boarding environment aligned with School policies and values.</p>

<p><strong>The Position</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Build positive, professional relationships with boarders and families to support students’ pastoral, academic and wellbeing needs.</li>
<li>Supervise daily boarding routines, including prep, meals, bedtime, room standards, overnight care, lock-up procedures and minor medical support.</li>
<li>Maintain consistent, firm and fair expectations in line with Boarding policies, reporting concerns to the Head of Boarding as required.</li>
<li>Plan and supervise year-group and boarding activities, including after-hours and weekend duties, student leave and rostered supervision.</li>
<li>Contribute to the safe and effective operation of the Boarding House, including pre-term set-up, end-of-term close-down and adherence to duty of care, child protection and WHS requirements.</li>
<li>Act as a positive role model and collaborative member of the Boarding community, engaging in staff meetings, professional learning and continuous improvement initiatives.</li>
</ul>
<p>We are looking for casuals to join us with an immediate start, or by negotiation.</p>
<p><strong>About You</strong></p>
<p>To be successful in this role, you will hold relevant certifications and have experience working with adolescents, ideally in a boarding, teaching or care environment. You will demonstrate adaptability, compassion and a strong understanding of the needs of adolescent girls. You will manage competing demands with accuracy, initiative and a strong service focus. You will meet all child safety requirements, value professional learning, and contribute positively to a collaborative boarding community with warmth and humour.</p>
