We are seeking a Learning Support Officer with skills in the Materials Design and Technology field to join our community in an ongoing capacity.

<p><strong>Learning Support Officer (MDT)</strong></p> <p><strong>Sacred Heart College</strong></p> <p><strong>New Town, TAS</strong></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>0.72 FTE</p> <p>Ongoing Position</p> <p>Commencement: 2nd February 2026</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>About our College:</strong></p> <p>Sacred Heart College is a Kindergarten to Year 10 Co-educational Catholic College based on the charism of the Sisters of St Joseph, located in the central Hobart suburb of New Town.</p> <p>As a Josephite College with an enrolment of over 990 students, we work to provide our students with a well-rounded Catholic education, encouraging a life-long love of learning.</p> <p>We are seeking a Learning Support Officer with skills in the Materials Design and Technology field to join our community in an ongoing capacity.</p> <p>The role includes preparing and maintaining tools, materials and equipment, including:</p> <ul> <li>tablesaw, buzzer, thicknesser, MIG Welder, Oxy Acetylene welder and other wood and metalwork equipment;</li> <li>timber machining and tool sharpening; and&nbsp;</li> <li>assisting teachers and students in a busy workshop.</li> </ul> <p>** Please include details of your relevant experience in the above within your application.</p> <p>An Education Support qualification would be an advantage.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p>Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience and in accordance with the Tasmanian Catholic Education Single Enterprise Agreement 2024.&nbsp;</p> <p>We demonstrate our commitment to Reconciliation by encouraging Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples to apply.</p> <p>To download an Application Package and Application for Employment form click the&nbsp;link below.
