<p><strong>Purpose:</strong></p> <p>Southern Highlands Christian School is seeking a reliable, safety-focused, and committed Christian individual to join our team as a School Bus Driver. This role is integral to supporting our students and wider school operations, ensuring safe transport and contributing to our vibrant school community.</p> <p><strong>About the role:</strong></p> <p>The School Bus Driver is responsible for the safe and punctual transport of students to and from Goulburn each school day, as well as driving our 12-seater and 24-seater school buses for excursions, sporting events, and other school activities.</p> <p><strong>We are offering two possible role structures:</strong></p> <p>Our preferred working arrangements are listed below; however, we are open to alternative configurations for the right candidate.</p> <p><strong>Option 1</strong></p> <p>Drive the daily Goulburn–Bowral bus run before and after school.<br> Stay on site during school hours to support the Property &amp; Maintenance Department with general tasks.<br> Drive the 12-seater and 24-seater buses for excursions, sport, and other events during the school day.<br> Hours of work 7:15am start in Goulburn, 4:15pm finish in Goulburn<br> Possibility of taking bus home depending on location</p> <p><strong>Option 2</strong></p> <p>Drive the daily Goulburn–Bowral bus run before and after school.<br> Drive buses as needed for excursions and events.<br> No onsite maintenance responsibilities.<br> 6am start in Bowral-8:20, via Goulburn finish in Bowral, 3pm start in Bowral-5:20pm finish in Bowral<br> Additional hours as required for excursions</p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p> <p>Safely transport students to and from school each day.<br> Drive school buses for excursions, events, and sport.<br> Complete safety checks, vehicle logs, and ensure buses are clean and well-maintained.<br> (If applicable) Support the Property &amp; Maintenance Team with general duties during the school day.<br> Engage positively with students, staff, and families in a manner consistent with the values of SHCS.</p> <p><strong>Essential Requirements</strong></p> <p>Minimum LR (Light Rigid) Driver Licence.<br> Valid Working With Children Check (WWCC).<br> Excellent driving record and strong commitment to student safety.<br> Reliability, punctuality, and the ability to work independently.<br> Applications are desired from suitably qualified, committed Christians who subscribe to the School’s Statement of Faith.<br> Must reside in Australia and have a valid right to work in Australia.</p>
