<p>Southern Highlands Christian School is seeking a passionate and experienced teacher, committed to Christian education, to join our High School team.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p>Southern Highlands Christian School is a Christ-centred learning environment that provides challenging, engaging, and nurturing community equipping students to flourish in the world. We are a Preschool to Year 12 co-educational day school located in Bowral in the beautiful Southern Highlands.&nbsp;</p> <p>As an English teacher you will join an outstanding team and have the opportunity to guide and inspire your students, within a nurturing and faith-based environment. You will collaborate with teachers and other stakeholders, and partner with parents, in developing and implementing effective strategies to grow a love of learning in our students and encourage them to pursue excellence in service to the community and in learning outcomes.&nbsp;</p> <p>At SHCS you will experience a rewarding opportunity to be a positive influence on the lives of children and our school community, delivering the curriculum from a Biblical perspective and caring pastorally for students to ensure each individual is known, seen and loved. You will enjoy a variety of opportunities for professional and spiritual growth, while thriving in a collegial and supportive environment.&nbsp;</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Develop and deliver engaging lessons for High School English</li> <li>Design and implement lessons to inspire curiosity and critical thinking.</li> <li>Perceive the needs of individual students and differentiate learning to support all learners.</li> <li>Provide timely and transformative feedback to students.</li> <li>Engage warmly and constructively with parents.</li> <li>Embed a Biblical perspective into the curriculum.</li> <li>Confidently integrate ICT to enhance learning outcomes.</li> <li>Work collaboratively and productively with their colleagues.</li> <li>Show a commitment to improvement and professional development.</li> </ul> <p>Qualification and Skills:</p> <ul> <li>Relevant English Teaching Qualifications.</li> <li>A proven track record as an educator in English.</li> <li>NESA Approval to teach in NSW Schools.</li> <li>Experience in a Year 7–12 school setting is preferred; however, applications from new graduates are encouraged.</li> <li>Strong communication and interpersonal skills.</li> <li>Ability to teach other subjects would be desirable.</li> <li>Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.</li> </ul>
