Seeking a passionate and suitably qualified Vocal Teacher to join our Music Department. This is a permanent part time (4 days per week) position commencing Tuesday, 27 January 2026.

<p>St Monica's College is a Catholic co-educational College (Years 7 - 12) serving the northern suburbs of Melbourne and is governed under the authority of Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools Limited (MACS).</p> <p>Our College is located on&nbsp;three metropolitan campuses in Epping and Reservoir and a rural campus, Ostia, in Strath Creek for spiritual retreat.&nbsp; Epping campuses are&nbsp;walking distance from each other and the Epping train station.</p> <p>Seeking a passionate and suitably qualified Vocal Teacher to join our Music Department. This is a permanent part time (4 days per week) position commencing Tuesday, 27 January 2026.</p> <p>This position involved providing individual vocal tuition to students in Years 7 - 12. The role has flexibility in teaching days and has potential for growth.</p> <p>Candidates must have the ability to plan, work and learn in a team environment. &nbsp;They must also have excellent classroom management skills and have a commitment to the ethos of Catholic Education and contemporary pedagogies.</p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li>Deliver high-quality vocal instruction from beginner to advanced levels</li> <li>Assist with the preparation of students for AMEB, VCE and VET Music Examinations</li> <li>Direct vocal ensembles, including College choir</li> <li>Serve as a Vocal Coach for the annual College Production</li> <li>Organise and participate in the annual vocal soiree</li> <li>Apply sound knowledge of vocal pedagogy across a range of musical styles</li> <li>The ability to accompany students on piano (Preferred but not essential).</li> </ul> <p><strong>Requirements:</strong></p> <ul> <li>A tertiary qualification in Voice or equivalent</li> <li>Demonstrated experience in vocal teaching and ensemble direction</li> <li>A genuine passion for teaching and inspiring young musicians</li> <li>An ability to develop and maintain professional and caring relationships with students, parents and colleagues</li> <li>An ability to create an engaging, educational and challenging learning environment that caters for the needs of all students</li> <li>An eagerness to learn</li> <li>An enthusiasm to implement a differentiated curriculum and use modern technology to support student learning.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Culture and Benefits</strong></p> <ul> <li>A strong commitment to Catholic Education</li> <li>We provide a work environment that nurtures on-going growth and development</li> <li>We build capacity in all areas of teaching and learning</li> <li>Ongoing religious formation to enhance Catholic Identity.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Special Requirements</strong></p> <ul> <li>St Monica's College promotes the safety, wellbeing and inclusion of all children, therefore the successful applicant must demonstrate an understanding of and commitment to providing a safe environment for children</li> <li>The successful applicant will hold the Victorian Institute of Teaching registration or a Current Working with Children Check and Police Check.</li> <li>Applications to be addressed to the Principal, Mr Brian Hanley OAM and include a cover letter, CV and the names and contact details of three referees.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Applications will be considered upon receipt.</strong><br> &nbsp;</p> <p>For further information about our College please visit <a href="https://www.stmonicas-epping.com/" rel="nofollow">www.stmonicas-epping.com</a></p>
