We’re looking for an enthusiastic and experienced teacher to lead our team of committed music teachers. This is a full-time, permanent position commencing in 2026 that comes with a leadership allowance.

<p>We are seeking a full time, permanent Head of Music to commence at the beginning of 2026.&nbsp;While this is a full time position, applications from experienced music teachers seeking part time employment are welcome. Christians who are actively involved in a church are particularly encouraged to apply.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>About Us</strong></p> <p>Rouse Hill Anglican College (RHAC) is a growing and highly regarded independent co-educational Christian school with over 1,600 students from Pre-K to Year 12. Located in the Hills District in Sydney’s northwest, the College has modern facilities, is very well resourced and can be easily accessed by car or the Metro Northwest rail.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Leadership</strong></p> <p>Lead a team of committed Music teachers to effectively teach NESA Music courses, utilising RHAC’s five Teaching and Learning Principles.</p> <p>RHAC has a separate Head of Extra Curricular Music who is responsible for leading ensembles, music tutors and other music opportunities for students not related to curriculum music. The Head of Music will practically support the Head of Extra Curricular Music by contributing to events such as school musicals and band camps.&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Teaching &amp; Learning</strong></p> <p>Construct teaching programs, based on applicable NESA syllabi, that will enable you to:</p> <ul> <li>Orchestrate engaging lessons that maximise learning for all students in the class.</li> <li>Effectively teach students with identified needs.</li> <li>Provide meaningful feedback on the academic work students produce in a way that will help them to improve.</li> <li>Achieve strong academic results.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Other Responsibilities</strong></p> <p>Involvement in College activities and events including:</p> <ul> <li>Some out of hours music events such as musicals and band performances.</li> <li>Contributing to the student wellbeing program, extra-curricular activities and camps.</li> <li>Attending chapel, assemblies and other College activities.</li> <li>Undertaking rostered playground or supervision duties.</li> <li>Attending College events, including parent teacher meetings.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>The Contract</strong></p> <p>All teachers at RHAC are employed under the Independent Schools (Teachers) Cooperative &nbsp; Multi Enterprise Agreement 2025 (CMEA). The CMEA outlines teacher’s salaries and their employment rights and responsibilities.</p> <p>In addition to the standard salary scale for teachers, the appointee will receive a Level 2 leadership allowance. &nbsp;In recognition of the above-mentioned responsibilities, the appointee will receive a non-teaching allocation that takes into account for their skills and experience.
