<p>MacKillop Catholic College is a Catholic Secondary College on Hobart’s Eastern Shore with a strong commitment to providing high-quality programs and services that support student learning and wellbeing. To support this growth, we are seeking two additional support staff to join our team.</p> <p><strong>Sports Program Administration Officer:</strong></p> <p>Term Time Only - Full-time</p> <p><strong>About the role:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Coordinate and administer the college’s sports programs across all year levels.</li> <li>Support planning and delivery of inter-school competitions, training schedules, and sporting events.</li> <li>Maintain accurate records, registrations, and compliance requirements for all sports activities.</li> <li>Liaise with staff, students, parents, and external sporting bodies to ensure smooth program operations.</li> <li>Promote student participation and engagement in sports within a Catholic learning environment.</li> </ul> <p><strong>About you:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Strong organisational and administrative skills with attention to detail.</li> <li>Experience in sports program coordination or event management (school or community setting desirable).</li> <li>Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.</li> <li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships.</li> <li>Competence in using technology and systems to streamline processes.</li> <li>A collaborative approach and commitment to Catholic Education values.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Laboratory Technician:</strong></p> <p>Term Time Only - Full-time&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>About the role:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Provide technical support for science laboratories across all secondary year levels.</li> <li>Prepare and maintain equipment, chemicals, and resources for practical classes.</li> <li>Ensure compliance with safety standards and maintain accurate inventory records.</li> <li>Assist teaching staff with laboratory setup and demonstrations.</li> <li>Contribute to a safe, efficient, and engaging learning environment for students.</li> </ul> <p><strong>About you:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Qualifications or experience in laboratory operations or science support.</li> <li>Strong understanding of WHS requirements and chemical handling protocols.</li> <li>Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.</li> <li>Ability to work collaboratively with staff and support student learning experiences.</li> <li>Competence in using technology for inventory and compliance management.</li> <li>Commitment to Catholic Education values and principles.</li> </ul> <p><br><i>Catholic Education Tasmania (CET) supports the rights of children and young people and is committed to providing a safe and supportive environment directed at ensuring their safety and wellbeing.&nbsp;As part of this commitment, the successful applicants for these positions will be required to:</i></p> <ul> <li><i>Hold a current Working with Vulnerable People Registration (Tasmania).</i></li> <li><i>Undergo a National Police Check prior to commencement.</i></li> <li><i>Maintain compliance with all child safety and wellbeing policies and procedures.</i></li> <li><i>Demonstrate an understanding of and commitment to safeguarding children and young people.</i></li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><i>We demonstrate our commitment to reconciliation by encouraging Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples to apply.&nbsp;</i></p> <p>&nbsp;</p>
