School Support Officer - Administration (70 hours per fortnight)

St Francis Catholic College is a K-12 Diocesan College in the Edmund Rice Tradition located at Edmondson Park. In 2025 (its 9th year), it has an enrolment of approx. 1559 students.
<p><strong>Location:</strong> St Francis Catholic College, Edmondson Park</p>
<p><i>St Francis Catholic College, Edmondson Park is located near the junction of the M5 and M7 motorways. It is a rapidly growing K-12 school with a student population exceeding 1650 students in 2026. The college is one school, not a traditional primary school and high school coexisting on the same site. As such, the College is organised into Junior Years Learning (K-4), Middle Years Learning (5-8), and Senior Years Learning (9-12). St Francis has recently completed its 7th Stage of building development and offers state-of-the-art learning, specialist KLA and Administrative facilities.</i></p>
<p>A temporary part time position commencing 27 January 2026 until 17 December 2026. The successful applicant will have the option to work 48 weeks per year, with 4 weeks accrued annual leave (Non Averaged hours) or choose not to work through the school holidays (Averaged hours). </p>
<p>This is a position of support services for students, staff, parents and school administration.</p>
<p>ESSENTIAL SELECTION CRITERIA</p>
<ul>
<li>A commitment to the mission and purpose of the Catholic School within the broader Catholic Church.</li>
<li>Experience in administration and general office processes and procedures.</li>
<li>Proficiency in MS Office and Google suite of applications.</li>
<li>Ability to process data in a variety of forms and produce reports.</li>
<li>Effective organisational skills with demonstrated accuracy and attention to detail.</li>
<li>Ability to recognise confidential issues as they arise and to treat them with the sensitivity required.</li>
</ul>
<p>DESIRABLE SELECTION CRITERIA</p>
<ul>
<li>Proven experience in two or more of the following:
<ul>
<li>WHS Administration support (WHS Committee meetings, Hazard reporting, inspections, Compliance registers).</li>
<li>Events Management (catering requests, ordering of food, setup and breakdown of Events, organisation of supporting staff - Note paid overtime. will be required/available for some College Events).</li>
<li>Experience in coordinating external vendors who may use / request to use the College's state-of-the art facilities.</li>

<p>EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS</p>
<ul>
<li>Minimum of 3 years experience in a School Administration office.</li>
<li>Experience with Tech One, COMPASS, MS Office & Google Apps.</li>
<li>Current First Aid Certificate.</li>
<li>Certificate III in Office Procedures, Administration or related study or experience.</li>
</ul>
