<p><strong>About You</strong></p>
<p>Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced teachers with a passion for developing a love of learning in young people for this full time position at the College. As a HSIE Teacher, you will inspire students through engaging, student-centered teaching within a Catholic learning environment.</p>
<p>Essential Criteria:</p>
<ul>
<li>demonstrable support and commitment to the mission, values and ethos of Catholic Education</li>
<li>demonstrable success as a classroom teacher, with successful experience across a range of HSIE courses particularly in Stages 4 and 5</li>
<li>ability to teach Geography in Stage 4 and 5 is advantageous</li>
<li>ability and demonstrated experience in using data and high impact teaching strategies to maximise the learning growth of all students</li>
<li>strong interpersonal skills that facilitate collaboration and quality relationships in working with other</li>
<li>skilled and committed to working with students through a positive approach to behaviour management.</li>
</ul>
<p>Desirable Criteria:</p>
<ul>
<li>practising Catholic</li>
<li>Religious Education qualifications or the willingness to achieve them as per <a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" href="https://sydcatholicschools.nsw.edu.au/policies/accreditation-policy-to-work-teach-and-lead-in-sydney-catholic-schools">Accreditation Policy to Work, Teach, and Lead</a> a distinct advantage</li>
<li>ability and willingness to lead and support a range of co-curricular events.</li>
