Clerical & Administration Officer (Term-Time)

<p>St Hurmizd Assyrian Primary School is an independent, co-educational Christian school for Kindergarten to Year 6, located in South Western Sydney. We are seeking a dedicated <strong>School Clerical/Administration Officer</strong> to join our dynamic team and provide essential administrative and support services, contributing to a school community committed to quality teaching and learning.</p>
<p> <strong>About the Role</strong></p>
<p>We are seeking a proactive and organised School Clerical/Administration Officer to provide a wide range of administrative and support services at our school. This role reports to the Office Manager.</p>
<ul>
<li><strong>Working days:</strong> Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 4:00pm during school terms</li>
<li><strong>Position type:</strong> Full-time temporary role, commencing Term 1, 2026s</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Key responsibilities include:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Providing general administrative support, including managing records, processing financial transactions, handling correspondence, and assisting with events</li>
<li>Serving as the first point of contact for students, parents/carers, community, and general enquiries</li>
<li>Managing school communications through face-to-face interactions, phone calls, and emails</li>
<li>Accurately handling cash and financial transactions</li>
<li>Maintaining current student enrolment records in Enrol HQ (school management system)</li>
<li>Supporting unwell students and administering first aid as required</li>
<li>Assisting with additional administrative tasks as directed</li>
<li>Coordinating stationery and supply orders</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>We are looking for someone who:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Has a minimum of two years’ experience in an administrative role, preferably within a school or educational setting</li>
<li>Is experienced with MYOB and proficient in Microsoft Office</li>
<li>Is highly organised, with excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills</li>
<li>Can efficiently manage multiple priorities in a busy environment</li>
<li>Is professional, enthusiastic, and able to work independently with minimal supervision</li>
<li>Remains calm, approachable, and responds to student and parent/carer enquiries with empathy and professionalism</li>
<li>Demonstrates discretion and maintains confidentiality at all times</li>
<li>Works collaboratively as part of a team to support smooth School operations</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Eligibility Requirements:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Certificate III or IV in Business Administration (or equivalent)</li>
<li>Previous experience working in a school or educational setting</li>
<li>Employment is subject to a satisfactory <strong>Working with Children Check (WWCC)</strong> clearance</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Salary</strong></p>
<p>Salaries are in line with the Independent Schools NSW (Professional and Operational Staff) Cooperative Multi Enterprise Agreement with current pay rates above the award.</p>
