As a Christ-centred community inspired by the charism of St Mary of the Cross MacKillop and the spirit of Blessed Edmund Rice, we are committed to a holistic Catholic education in faith, hope and love.</p> <p>The College invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced persons for the ongoing, part-time, term-time only position of Resource Centre Library Assistant to support the operation of the College's Resource Centre/Library.</p> <p><strong>Resource Centre Library Assistant</strong></p> <p><strong>&nbsp;Part Time – Ongoing, Term Time Only</strong></p> <p><strong>About the Role</strong></p> <p>The Resource Centre/Library Assistant supports the Resource Centre/Library Manager in the day-to-day operation of the Rice Resource Centre (Library) encompassing the physical library space, print collection, and online resources to support learning and teaching at MacKillop Catholic College.</p> <p>This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive, skilled individual who enjoys a varied workload and thrives in a supportive, community-focused environment.</p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li>Supports and assists in the provision of a welcoming, efficient, safe and comfortable learning environment.</li> <li>Maintains the physical presentation of the library and its various collections including the repair and/or replacement systems for equipment.</li> <li>Assists in the routine ordering and maintenance of equipment and materials.</li> <li>Assists students with researching and referencing learning related materials, and the sourcing of recreational reading texts.</li> <li>Supports the promotion of physical and online resources to the MacKillop Catholic College community including the creation of library displays.</li> <li>Assists staff in the use of the physical and online resources of the Rice Resource Centre/Library.</li> </ul> <p><strong>About You</strong></p> <p>You are a reliable and self-motivated professional with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. You demonstrate integrity, initiative, and a strong commitment to maintaining a welcoming and encouraging school Library environment.
