Emmanuel Anglican College is seeking a committed and experienced educator to lead our Secondary School.

<p><strong>Emmanuel Anglican College is a safe, inclusive, coeducational Anglican School community offering a holistic and future focused education from Early Learning through to Year 12. We learn, live and lead on the lands of the Nyangbul people of the Bundjalung nation in this place known as Bullinah.</strong></p> <p><strong>ABOUT THE ROLE</strong></p> <p>The Director of the Secondary School is a member of the College Executive and is responsible for the coordination of the Secondary School, ensuring the smooth operation and the consistent development and application of College policies. They actively provide strategic input and leadership as a member of the Executive as well as purposeful and effective leadership of the pastoral care program and student wellbeing, recognition and management in the Secondary School.</p> <p><strong>Essential Criteria</strong></p> <p>We’re looking for candidates who bring the following key qualities and experience to the role:</p> <ul> <li>Capacity and desire to contribute to the ethos of Emmanuel Anglican College</li> <li>Passionate and experienced educator with an understanding of how students learn and the characteristics of highly effective classroom practice</li> <li>Understanding of The Australian Student Wellbeing Framework and the Be You initiative and their implications for, and application to, schools</li> <li>Experience working with students, families, staff and external stakeholders to develop plans and programs to support the wellbeing and character development needs of students</li> <li>A holistic and panoramic understanding of school operation and the ability to develop and manage policy, procedure, programs and schedules to ensure the calm and efficient operation of the College</li> <li>Outstanding communication, organisational and administrative skills and demonstrated ability to develop and manage policies, systems and procedures (knowledge of Edval and TASS would be an advantage)</li> <li>Highly developed capacity to effectively lead a team and to promote professional growth and school improvement</li> </ul> <p><strong>Please review the full position description and the key responsibilities, skills and qualifications by visiting our website </strong><a href="https://www.eac.nsw.edu.au/about-us/employment/" rel="nofollow"><strong>www.eac.nsw.edu.au</strong></a></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>HOW TO APPLY</strong></p> <p><i>It is anticipated that the selection process will occur during Term 3 with an appointment made by the end of the term.
