Religious Education Coordinator

The position of the Religious Education Coordinator (REC) is a senior leadership role that exists to support the Principal in implementing the mission and vision of the school, to support growth in faith and improvement in learning for students. St Anne's Primary School in North Albury are looking for a Religious Education Coordinator to join their amazing team, commencing January 2026

<p><strong>Your New Role</strong></p>
<p>The position of the Religious Education Coordinator (REC) is a senior leadership role that exists to support the Principal in implementing the mission and vision of the school, to support growth in faith and improvement in learning for students. The REC has the delegated responsibility for the leadership, coordination and supervision of learning and teaching in Religious Education. In sharing the leadership of Catholic Life, Education and Mission, the REC is required to have a well-developed capacity to take forward the evangelising mission of Catholic schools within the Diocese of Wagga Wagga.</p>

<p>*Please note, that Co-ordinator appointments are 3 years full time contract with the option of an additional 3 years subject to ongoing successful Performance Reviews.</p>
<p><strong>Essential Criteria</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Postgraduate academic qualifications additional to initial teacher training.</li>
<li>Accreditation for Senior Leadership in a Catholic School <a href="https://docs.google.com/document/d/1aCbIP5U7RUVpmXSRFNJjPniiJAxX9Kc7W7RNmEFGV8s/edit?usp=sharing" rel="nofollow">(Category E, Accreditation to Work, Teach and Lead in Systemic Catholic Schools, Catholic Education Diocese of Wagga Wagga)</a> or working towards Accreditation.</li>
<li><a href="https://www.nsw.gov.au/education-and-training/nesa/teacher-accreditation" rel="nofollow">NESA Accreditation</a> at Proficient Status or beyond.</li>
<li>Current Drivers Licence.</li>
<li>Current Working With Children Check.</li>
<li>Successful candidate to undertake National Criminal History Check</li>
<li>Three (3) referees, one of which must be your current employer and your current Parish Priest. CEDWW will conduct the reference check with the Parish Priest prior to shortlisting.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Skills and Experience</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Recent school or system Leadership experience.</li>
<li>Highly developed communication skills in a range of forums and media.</li>
<li>Knowledge and understanding of teaching and learning pedagogies, curriculum and practice.</li>
<li>Ability to think critically, strategically and operationally, implementing a structured cycle of improvement initiatives, reflecting on and adapting processes as required to meet successful outcomes.</li>
<li>A high level of relational skills evidenced in a range of circumstances.</li>
<li>Ability to understand, interpret and analyse data relevant to scope of practice and position.</li>
<li>Experience in management of budgets, understanding of relevant policy, administration procedure and other areas of governance as appropriate to the scope and intent of the role.</li>
