We are seeking a permanent, part-time Head Football Coach to work an average of 20 hours per week in a term-time only role.

The Ascham Program consists of both a large Winter (Term 2 &amp; 3) season and smaller Summer (Term 1 &amp; 4) season. A competitive remuneration package will be provided based on experience and qualifications of the selected candidate.&nbsp;</p> <p>As the Head Football Coach will promote Football as an enjoyable, healthy sport for people of all ages and abilities in a safe and friendly environment, and foster and encourage good sportsmanship and fellowship amongst all participants. &nbsp;</p> <p><strong>What You Will Do&nbsp;</strong></p> <ul> <li>Provide leadership for a beginner through to representative players across both the Junior and Senior School.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <li>Provide effective leadership to student-athletes to support both successful academic development and sporting excellence.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <li>Liaise effectively with the Head of Sport, Sports administration team and various stakeholders about the Football program including strategic priorities, program administration, scheduling and student wellbeing.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <li>Take a pro-active approach to monitoring and maintaining health and safety standards within the program including injury prevention and incident management.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <li>Perform other duties as required by the Head of Sport.&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p><strong>What You Will Bring&nbsp;</strong></p> <ul> <li>A Development Level Coaching Qualification in Football (or willingness to obtain this qualification).&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <li>Demonstrated Football coaching experience within a youth sports context with a strong background across the 6-18 years age bracket.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <li>An ability to be an effective team member, including initiative, passion, willingness to collaborate and people management skills to drive holistic sports involvement.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <li>Proven experience in coaching and/or leading other coaches in their discipline&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <li>Ability to follow instructions, work unsupervised and be a cooperative team member&nbsp;</li> <li>Understanding of and commitment to WHS legislation and risk management principles&nbsp;</li> <li>A valid Working with Children Clearance (WWCC) and First Aid certificate (or willingness to obtain).&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>The successful applicant will enjoy a vibrant and interesting work environment and being part of a team of talented people.&nbsp;</p> <p>Please <strong>apply via </strong><a href="https://www.seek.com.au/job/85985668?ref=cm-ui" rel="nofollow"><strong>SEEK</strong></a><strong> </strong>with your cover letter and resume by <strong>11.59pm on Thursday 7 August 2025. </strong>In your application, please include your WWCC; First Aid and CPR details (if you have these); as well as the names and contact details of two referees.&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>We are keen to fill this role immediately and will reach out to candidates of interest as we receive their applications.
