Responsible to the Leader of Learning Science, the Laboratory Assistant maintains adequate operational systems and oversees the effective day-to-day running of science resources. The position is responsible for providing a safe teaching and learning environment and ensures that all practicals and experiments are prepared for each class, there are adequate chemicals and equipment required and administrative tasks are completed.<br><br> To be successful for this role, you must demonstrate;</p> <ul> <li>the capacity to safely and effectively prepare science practicals and experiments</li> <li>the ability to use RiskAssess and be able to accurately assess risk assessments</li> <li>the ability to use Chemwatch or be willing to learn</li> <li>a sound understanding of Workplace Health and Safety requirements including the safe management, storage, handling and labelling of hazardous material</li> <li>the capacity to work collaboratively as part of a team and at times autonomously</li> <li>a willingness to undergo any relevant training appropriate for the role</li> <li>a commitment to supporting a positive religious and cultural Catholic School environment.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Application Process</strong><br><br> Please click on the 'Apply' button and follow the steps to submit your application.
