St Marianne Cope Catholic Primary School, opening in Mt Atkinson in 2026, is a new Catholic primary school that will welcome all. <p>We are seeking a passionate and visionary <strong>Deputy Principal of Learning and Teaching</strong> to join our foundation team. <p>Your Leadership will encompass:</p>
<ul>
<li>Fostering an inclusive and respectful school culture, where all students and families feel a sense of belonging.</li>
<li>Leading curriculum design and the implementation of high-impact teaching practices grounded in current research and aligned with the MACS Vision for Instruction and Vision for Engagement - you will have proven leadership experience in this field</li>
<li>Establishing a culture of excellence by supporting teacher development through instructional modelling, coaching, reflection and feedback. </li>
<li>Facilitating Professional Learning Team Planning using relevant data and shared resources</li>
<li>Overseeing whole-school assessment and reporting practices</li>
<li>Ensuring inclusive practices support diverse learners</li>
<li>Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills</li>
<li>Working closely in partnership with the Principal and wider community to bring our shared vision to life</li>
<li>Acting on behalf of the Principal when required</li>
<li>Promoting student wellbeing and child safety</li>
<li>Ensuring compliance with relevant policies and child safety standards</li>
<li>
<p>Some classroom teaching </p>
<p>This Deputy position is contracted for 3 years and then will be readvertised. You will have an opportunity to reapply or return to a classroom teaching position.</p></li>

<p><strong>About You:</strong></p>
<p>You are an inspirational, committed Catholic educator who is passionate about inclusion and excellence in education. You have the vision and expertise to help shape a new school community. You bring:</p>
<ul>
<li>Accreditation to teach Religious Education in a Catholic school</li>
<li>A Masters in Education (or currently studying)</li>
<li>Current VIT registration</li>
<li>At least two professional referees who can speak to your leadership and teaching experience as well as a your most recent principal</li>
