Established in 1999, the College was founded by the Lutheran Church with the aim of providing a faith-based, high-quality education to students in the Lockyer Valley region. Currently offering education to secondary students in Years 7-12, Faith Lutheran College Plainland is about to embark on an exciting new chapter with the first years of its Primary School commencing from 2027. Leading a multi-functional team, the Financial Operations Manager ensures sound financial advice, contributes to long-term strategic planning, provides support across various school operations, and upholds the College’s commitment to service, excellence and sustainability through adaptive leadership and forward-thinking financial stewardship.</p> <p>Key Selection Criteria:</p> <ul> <li>Proven management experience, ideally in a school environment, overseeing an adaptable finance team.</li> <li>Comprehensive knowledge and experience in accounting practices, payroll, budget formation, and financial monitoring, reporting and control.</li> <li>Risk management experience and understanding of the legal and compliance requirements within a school entity.</li> <li>Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to lead and mentor staff and build professional stakeholder relationships both internally and externally.</li> <li>A commitment to the vision and values of Faith Lutheran College and support of the Lutheran ethos.</li> </ul> <p>Applicants must have the right to work in Australia and hold relevant tertiary qualifications in accounting, commerce or a related field.
