<p><strong>As a Learning Support Officer at St Thomas More, you would be required to:</strong></p> <p>Provide support to students with additional needs as directed by the classroom teacher</p> <p>Work with individual or small groups of children to support learning in literacy and numeracy</p> <p>Provide basic physical, social and emotional care for students</p> <p>Monitor and provide support for children during play breaks</p> <p>Keep records to assist the Nationally Consistent Collection of Data (NCCD) process</p> <p>Adhere to all Child Safety legislation and St Thomas More Primary School Child Safety requirements.</p> <p><strong>Suitable applicants will:</strong></p> <p>Demonstrate an awareness of various learning disabilities and their impact on student learning</p> <p>Have highly developed interpersonal and communication skills</p> <p>Demonstrate an understanding of child safety and the appropriate obligations and behaviours when engaging with students</p> <p>Have a Certificate III or IV qualification in Educational Support or be working towards a suitable qualification (including a teaching qualification)</p> <p>Have a current Working With Children Check and Police Check (or be willing to apply for these)</p> <p>Be available three days per week from 8:45am -1:30pm</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>
