At St Martins Lutheran College, we’re excited to announce a newly created opportunity for a WHS & Compliance Manager to join our team. This pivotal role has been established to further strengthen our commitment to a safe, supportive, and compliant learning environment.

As a newly created position, this role offers a unique opportunity to shape and embed best-practice systems and culture, driving a proactive approach to Work Health and Safety, Risk Management, and legislative compliance across our vibrant College community.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and enhance the College’s WHS processes and Safety Management System
  • Lead the College’s risk management strategy and maintain the Risk Register
  • Act as the College’s Return-to-Work Coordinator
  • Conduct safety audits, drills, and staff safety inductions
  • Coordinate emergency procedures and lead Emergency Wardens
  • Manage policy development, compliance reporting, and school registration/NQF documentation

Who We’re Looking For

  • A WHS or compliance/legal professional with experience leading organisation-wide safety and risk programs
  • Knowledge of legislative frameworks, WHS standards, and Australian compliance systems
  • A strong communicator with the ability to influence culture and drive continuous improvement
  • A team player with excellent organisation and documentation skills
