About You

As an English Teacher, you work to ensure every student reaches their full potential through high-quality, collaborative and engaging pedagogy.

To excel in this role, you will have:

• a commitment to Catholic Education, with a clear understanding of the vision and mission of Catholic Schools and a willingness to support the faith formation of students
• qualification and experience in teaching English Stages 4, 5 & 6
• accreditation to teach Religious Education in Sydney Catholic Schools (desirable)
• an ability to facilitate dynamic and collaborative learning experiences
• a commitment to academic excellence
• exemplary classroom practice, utilising a range of contemporary, evidence based pedagogical approaches that support effective learning
• capability of empowering students to be independent and creative learners
• an ability to create a culture of excellence and high expectations through positive support of student learning
• an understanding of current educational research including assessment practices, differentiation and effective feedback
• highly developed interpersonal skills demonstrating an ability to effectively communicate with parents, students and staff
• an ability to work collaboratively in a team environment to promote a shared commitment to teaching and learning.

You will have attained:

• a tertiary qualification in Education
• eligibility according to the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA)
• Religious Education qualifications or the willingness to achieve them as per Accreditation Policy to Work, Teach, and Lead.
