St Francis De Sales Regional College is a Catholic Co-educational Day and Weekly Boarding School providing a comprehensive education across Years 7-12, for students from Leeton, Narrandera and surrounding rural areas in the Riverina.

Your New Role

As a Boarding House Assistant, you will be an integral part of our boarding team, responsible for the daily care, supervision and wellbeing of a group of boarders. You will actively contribute to creating a warm, structured and respectful environment where students feel safe, supported and encouraged to thrive. Boarding staff play a key role in supporting the College in fulfilling its Duty of Care responsibilities.

Work Schedule

• Monday: 2:20pm - 10:50pm (30 minutes paid break)
• Tuesday: 6:40am - 8:40am & 3pm - 10:50pm (30 min unpaid break)
• Wednesday: 6:40am - 8:40am & 3pm - 10:50pm (30 min unpaid break)
• Thursday: 6:40am - 8:40am & 3pm - 10:50pm (30 min unpaid break)
• Friday: 6:40am - 8:40am

Selection Criteria

• A commitment to the values and mission of Catholic education
• Current First Aid, CPR and Anaphylaxis training
• Class C Driver's License - Light Rigid License desirable
• Availability for overnight shifts
• The ability to respond effectively, calmly and compassionately to challenging situations (e.g. homesickness, health issues, or adolescents behavioural concerns)
• A pleasant and approachable manner, with the ability to communicate effectively with students from diverse backgrounds.
• NSW Working with Children Check
• Successful Candidate to undertake a National Criminal History Check
• Successful Candidate to undertake a Functional Assessment
• Accreditation for Support Staff in a Catholic School (Category A, Accreditation to Work Teach and Lead in Systemic Catholic Schools, Catholic Education Diocese of Wagga Wagga) or working towards Accreditation.
