As a secondary teacher in the area of human society and its environment (HSIE) you will open the eyes of our students to the world and its environs and equip them with a powerful context to enhance key competencies including the investigation, interpretation, and communication of information and ideas.
Permanent full-time (1.0 FTE) position commencing Monday 28 April 2025.
We are seeking a suitably qualified Secondary Teacher, with a focus on Geography (Stage 4 and Stage 5) and History (Stage 4 to Stage 6) to join our collaborative HSIE Faculty. You will be instrumental in encouraging the acquisition of higher-order critical thinking and analysis skills for our students; committed to the achievement of excellence as a classroom teacher; a strong collaborator; and, confident in effective pedagogy and classroom management. You will inspire geographical inquiry, explore biophysical and human geography, and equip young people with an understanding of political and legal processes, while also enhancing their understanding of history through analysis of sources, evidence, and the sequencing of key events.
This position will suit an experienced teacher or equally be a tremendous opportunity for a student nearing completion of their degree (final internship) or a recent graduate who wishes to gain valuable experience working in a well-supported, experienced and collegial HSIE faculty.
