We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Enhancement Leader & Coach to join our team at St Francis of Assisi. In this role, you will work across the school to develop and implement effective interventions and support strategies for students facing learning challenges and additional academic enrichment. You will also play a key role in coaching and supporting Learning Support Staff.

Applicants will possess the skills and abilities to manage and support a diverse team to enhance learning across the school.

The leadership position will be initially offered on a fixed-term contract beginning early Term 2, 2025 (negotiable), until the end of 2026, with an opportunity for renewal. The successful applicant will be offered ongoing teaching employment at the school.

Applicants are asked to demonstrate experiences in the following:

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with Learning Diversity Leaders, the Learning and Assessment Team, and teachers to identify students requiring Tier 2 and Tier 3 intervention.
  • Experience in developing and maintaining timetables for Learning Support Officers, ensuring efficient scheduling and resource allocation.
  • Strong understanding and experience in implementing, reviewing, and evaluating contemporary teaching and learning practices that are research and evidence-based to enhance instructional quality and student outcomes.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with learning support staff to identify specific, measurable goals aimed at improving individual and small group instruction, content knowledge, and behaviour management strategies.
  • Proficiency in using data to assess, monitor, and track student performance, applying insights to inform and refine intervention programs.
  • Experience in modelling, co-teaching, observing, and providing timely and constructive feedback to foster best practices in teaching and learning.
