About the Position

Sunshine Christian School has an opportunity for an Upper Primary Science Teacher to join our welcoming and supportive team on a part-time, contract basis.

Commencing on May 5 2025, (negotiable) this 0.2 FTE position will be responsible for delivering the Australian Science Curriculum program to Year 3-6 students. Please refer to the attached Position Description for details.

About the Candidate

The successful candidate will need to have (or attain) accreditation as required by the Lutheran Church of Australia (please see position description for further details). They will also need to demonstrate

Key Selection Criteria

The successful applicant will have:

• teaching qualifications and training that satisfy registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching

• an ability to demonstrate and exemplify the school’s values of compassion, forgiveness, service and courage.

• an excellent knowledge of the Australian Curriculum and in catering for a diverse range of learners in a multicultural classroom through varied learning opportunities and sound pedagogical principles

• proven experience at fostering excellent relationships with children

• a passion for teaching and learning

• proven ability to work collegially and collaboratively with colleagues
