About Our School

St James Catholic Primary School, Glebe is a one-stream K-6 school in a vibrant inner-city neighbourhood. At St James, we are both individual pilgrims and a pilgrim people on The Way of St James. Following in the tradition of the Sisters of the Good Samaritan and inspired by our school motto, 'Fully alive in Christ', our vision for pilgrimage is to be fully alive in spirit, mind and relationships. Our motto is derived from the paraphrase of St Irenaeus: the glory of God is a human being fully alive and is inspired by the Gospel verse: I have come that they may have life and have it to the full (John 10:10). We believe that we can bring this vision to life by 'living' our values and the principles of Catholic Social Teaching, as we walk The Way of St James.
