About You

As a Diverse Learning Teacher, you work to ensure every student reaches their full potential through high-quality, collaborative and engaging pedagogy.

To excel in this role, you will be able to:

  • demonstrate a deep understanding of, and commitment to, the mission and purpose of the Catholic school within the broader Catholic Church
  • exemplify a tertiary qualification and/or significant experience in diverse learning, as well as a demonstrated understanding of contemporary learning processes in relation to diverse learning
  • assist with the initial identification of students with diverse learning needs
  • assist teachers with the development of learning goals and intervention programs, as well as curriculum differentiation
  • collaboratively design, implement, modify and evaluate Individual Adjustment Plans (IAPs) with class teachers and other relevant stakeholders
  • work with students with IAPs
  • contribute to the preparation of NCCD documentation required under legislation
  • demonstrate familiarity with NESA requirements for students with a disability and to liaise with external agencies
  • show exemplary classroom practice, utilising a range of effective pedagogies
  • exemplify highly developed interpersonal skills, demonstrating an ability to effectively communicate with parents, students and staff
  • show an ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • support the College's educational advancements and endorse innovation as outlined in our Strategic Plan
  • participate in leadership mentoring and training alongside peers, fostering robust professional relationships
  • infuse the core values of truth, empathy, excellence, curiosity, and collaboration in alignment with Sydney Catholic Schools' Mission and Vision.
