St Mary's Primary School, Newborough is seeking a suitably qualified and accredited, VIT Registered teacher to fill the role of Mental Health in Primary Schools Role. The position is 0.4 FTE and working days and times are negotiable. This role is funded through the MHiPs program. This is a position under the Victorian Catholic Education Multi Enterprise Agreement 2022.

St Mary's Primary School is situated in Newborough. The current enrolment for the 2025 school year is 260 from Foundation to Year 6. A comprehensive Specialist program includes, LOTE, STEM, Sport and an inspiring Visual and Performing Arts Program. Our classrooms provide the latest resources and IT infrastructure.

To be successful in this opportunity you will require:
Current VIT Registration.
Tertiary qualification in Primary Education.
A sound understanding and knowledge of the primary years of schooling.
An ability to communicate effectively with both parents, and other professionals.
Demonstrated innovative use of ICT to enrich learning.
Well-developed classroom management strategies which enhance student engagement and outcomes.
Knowledge of contemporary pedagogy.
An active supporter of and contributor to a collegial work environment.
