<p><strong>Primary School Teacher – St Joseph’s, Collingwood</strong></p> <p>Contract Type: Fixed Term Full-Time&nbsp;</p> <p>Applications Close: Monday 31 March 2025</p> <p>Salary: AUD78,801 – AUD116,894 - Based on experience in accordance with the Teacher scale of the Catholic Education Multi-Enterprise Agreement 2022 (<i>CEMEA</i>)</p> <p>St Joseph’s School is an integral part of the faith community of Collingwood and is the sole parish primary school.&nbsp;St Joseph’s School&nbsp;is governed under the authority of Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools Limited (MACS) ABN 18643442371. MACS is the employer of employees at St Joseph’s School.</p> <p><i>We are currently seeking a full-time Teacher for an Upper Primary Class (Year 4/5) to commence in Term 2, 2025.</i></p> <p>Candidates must have an ability to plan, work and learn in a team environment. The emphasis of this planning is on Faith-Based Inquiry. They must also have excellent classroom management skills and have a commitment to the ethos of Catholic Education and contemporary pedagogies.</p> <p>Job description:</p> <ul> <li>Plan for and implement effective teaching and learning in a classroom environment&nbsp;</li> <li>Maintain deep knowledge of curriculum content and how to teach it&nbsp;</li> <li>Create and maintain a supportive and safe learning environment&nbsp;</li> <li>Develop programs and assess student learning&nbsp;</li> <li>Reliably report on student learning to families</li> <li>Liaise with families and other stakeholders regarding student learning&nbsp;</li> <li>Engage in professional learning, especially through the Teacher Development Programme&nbsp;</li> <li>Engage professionally with colleagues, parents/carers and the community&nbsp;</li> <li>Engage in various extra-curricular activities</li> </ul> <p>Skills/Experience required:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor of Education or relevant tertiary qualification.</li> <li>A strong commitment to Catholic education.</li> <li>An ability to develop and maintain professional and caring relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.</li> <li>An ability to create an engaging, educational, and challenging learning environment that caters for the needs of all students.</li> <li>An eagerness to learn.</li> <li>An enthusiasm to implement a differentiated curriculum and use modern technology to support student learning.</li> </ul> <p>Special Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>St Joseph’s School promotes the safety, well-being, and inclusion of all children; therefore, the successful applicant must demonstrate an understanding of and commitment to providing a safe environment for children.</li> <li>The successful applicant will hold the Victorian Institute of Teaching registration.</li> <li>Accreditation to teach Religious Education in a Catholic school is preferred.</li> <li>Contact details of two referees.&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p>Please email your resume and cover letter to:&nbsp;<a href="mailto:principal@sjcollingwood.catholic.edu.au?subject=Year%204%2F5%20Classroom%20Teacher%20position%20%28via%20Teachers%20On%20Net%29">principal@sjcollingwood.catholic.edu.au</a></p> <p>Note: MACS is committed to the safety, wellbeing, and protection of all children in our care.
