Matrix Education is now hiring casual Secondary HSC English Teachers to join our team at our Parramatta campus on Sundays. Sunday availability is essential for this role.

This role is ideal for current school Teachers looking for a new and unique teaching experience with a great team of teachers and motivated students. As an English Teacher, you will have your regular classes and students every week.

Minimal lesson preparation is required as lessons and resources are provided for you.

Our classes run outside of school hours, on weekday afternoons and all day on weekends.

What you’ll do…

• Teaching regular weekly classes throughout the academic term,
• Ongoing monitoring of student’s academic progress through marking weekly essay submissions,
• Teaching opportunities available during the NSW school holidays,
• Flagging of struggling students to academic team leaders for additional academic mentoring.

What you’ll need…

• Possess a genuine passion for teaching,
• Previous experience teaching secondary English in a classroom setting,
• Have extensive knowledge of the current NESA curriculum in stage 4, 5 and/or 6 English,
• Have completed their degree in Education, Arts, Philosophy or a related discipline,

• Postgraduate studies in the above listed disciplines will be highly regarded.
